Russian New Year in a new Yacht Club of Monaco

The Yacht Club de Monaco prolonged the end of year festivities by ringing in the Russian New Year in style, according to the Orthodox calendar, on 9th January 2015.

It’s a celebration that will take on a very special significance for its 10th edition as it is part of Monaco’s 2015 ‘Year of Russia’.

For this 100% Muscovite party, which included an exceptional appearance by the Red Army Choir, the Yacht Club set a new record. In an atmosphere recreating the famous Moscow Underground, in total over 700 members and their guests danced the night away to the catchy-crazy rhythms of Vladimir Sculer and his orchestra, which has not missed this YCM end of year rendezvous since the start in 2006.

Accompanied by Beluga Vodka and Ossetra Caviar, the menu was devised by Sergei Eroshenko, owner and chef of the Chestnaya Kuhnya Restaurant in Moscow, with support from the festival “Les Saisons de la Gastronomie Russe à Monaco » with Natalia Marzoeva.

The evening was very successful and enjoyable as our friends and partners of our website were present there: Elena Baranova BARANOVA MONACO with her husband, William Coelsch MOUGINS CARRELAGE CENTER, Elena Svadkovskaya SOCOPRO, Chik Radio, Ekaterina Ponomareva and Isabell (Tiffany&Co) Nice.

On the agenda: Caviar & Beluga Vodka, and Russian delicacies. Organised with the invaluable support of a number of the Club’s society members, this party has become a firm favourite in the YCM’s event calendar, with live music from Vladimir Sculer’s band, a Muscovite orchestra to which you can dance the night away and see in the Russian New Year!
