The Monaco Charity Film Festival is a yearly Charity Event held in Monaco for the benefit of the poor children around the world. The Charity Event will be for the benefit of the children of the Virlanie Foundation in the Philippines. MCFF also helps filmmakers from all walks of life to find financing and distribution for their films.
The Russian delegation was represented by well-known creative people: Boris Grachevsky – the Russian director and screen-writer, artistic director of a children’s newsreel « ERALASH », Svetlana Svetlichnaia – the honored actress of the Russian Federation, Karina Foliyants – Russian director ans screenwriter and the young actor and the participant of the « Voice » Children (Russia).
Boris Grachevsky presented his movie « The roof, » the action of the movie took place in Sergiev Posad. The film is about the life of teenagers whose parents are busy with their own problems, and almost do not notice what is happening with their children.
Svetlana Svetlichnaya participated in the competition program with the film « Love », directed by Mikhail Kalik in 1968 and entered in the Golden Films Fund of the Russian cinema. The film consists of four short stories about love, every story begins with an epigraph taken from the « Song of Songs » of the Old Testament. Novels start with documentary in which the main question is « What does it mean to love?, the persons who answer this question are the priest Alexander Men and people passing in the street.
During the gala dinner, the ceremony of awards was organised and honored the guests of the Russian delegation and other countries. The festival has attracted the attention of a large number of friendly audience.
